The Stride Comp is designed to offer a quality, lower priced, entry into the sport mountain bike market. The Stride Comp features an VAXA 860S Air, 100mm suspension fork to give you a comfortable ride with excellent traction off road. A wide range 1x9 speed MICROshift drivetrain fitted to the internal dropper post ready, Stride hydro formed alloy frame makes for quality shifting. Full internal cable routing, along with tubeless ready wheels, and an integrated kickstand & rack mounts, tapered headset and progressive trail geometry finishes the ground breaking Comp.
1X DRIVETRAIN WITH NARROW WIDE CHAINRINGS
Silverback fits 1x (single-chainring) drivetrains to as many bikes as we can. 1x offers less maintenance, is more intuitive to use and offers a wider gear range than 3x groupsets. We spec our 32t 1x N/W chainrings in favor of climbing prowess over flat terrain top speed. Everyone can benefit from easier climbing.
POP GEOMETRY
Position of Power -Geometry designed to engage bigger muscle groups in pedaling, producing more power output for the same amount of input. Longer frame places the rider forward, in a more balanced position, improving grip on the rear on climbs and on the front on descents. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle means more control at speed.

WHY IT’S BEST.
- Trickle down adapted POP geometry means that the Stride Comp places the rider in a more balanced position. This engages bigger muscle groups when climbing and provides more balance, more traction, grip and control.
- The hydro formed frame is lightweight and features a tapered headtube, full internal routing and a top end fit and finish.
- 1x9 MICROShift drivetrain simplifies the use of gears and de-clutters the handlebars, makes for easier and cheaper maintenance and sheds some weight off the bike. We run a 32t front chainring to aid easier climbing as opposed to higher flat ground top speeds. Everyone can do with easier climbing.
- Stride Comp features a quality VAXA 860S Air suspension fork , great quality in this price bracket.
- Stride Comp come with Tektro MD-M275 disc brakes. Disc brakes offer dependable all weather performance over rim brakes.
- The Stride Comp can easily be set up for touring or commuting, and even winter riding, featuring rack and fender mounts as well as a kickstand mount.
ENGINEERING NOTES.
HYDRO FORMED ALLOY FRAME
Hydro-formed 6061 Alloy frame The Stride features a class leading frame. Trickle-down technology means that the new frame benefits from our leading platforms. The frame tubes are hydro-formed into complex shapes to increase strength and stiffness, minimizing weight and excess material use. All Stride frames are now internal dropper post ready.

29” wheels on M, L & XL frames
RESPONSIVE SHORT CHAINSTAYS
Short chainstays coupled with Pop geometry means that the Stride Comp is more nimble through corners, yet retains overall stability.
CABLE MANAGEMENT
Cables are fed in, via openings near the headtube, to cable exits under the downtube. Cable routing is quick and easy, making installation a breeze. Internal routing keeps the bike neat and clutter free. It also means that cables are protected from impact damage. Full length cable housing also means less dirt contaminates the system and therefore less maintenance.
DISC BRAKES ON MOST STRIDES
Disc brakes offer dependable all-weather performance over rim brakes.
Mounted inside the rear triangle to protect it from environmental damage, while also acting like a brace, improving strength around the dropout and kickstand mount.
SUSPENSION FORK
All Stride bicycles are fitted with purpose chosen 100mm suspension forks. The Comp is fitted with an VAXA 860S Air fork with Tapered Steerer. A suspension fork improves comfort and traction on a hardtail mountain bike.
SURFACE ALLOY CONTROL PARTS
All Stride bicycles are fitted with Surface quality alloy control parts. This means less weight, and more durability - for many happy trails. Similarly brand name components are chosen for durability and function, meaning that your Stride offers worry free ownership. Ergonomic Grips & Saddle improve comfort by relieving pressure from sensitive areas
TUBELESS READY, WIDER RIMS & TIRES
Surface Alloy Wheels are pre-taped and tubeless ready from the box. Easy to set up tubeless, just add sealant and inflate to seat.
DERAILLEUR CLUTCH
A clutch greatly improves chain retention, reducing potential chain drops & noise on one-by setups.
FENDER, RACK & KICKSTAND MOUNTS INCLUDED
Fender, Rack & kickstand mounts are integrated into the frame, making the addition & installation neat and uncomplicated. We suggest using the Speedkit kickstand for non e-bikes.
TYRE CLEARANCE
Designed to easily fit higher volume 29” x 2.35” tires with plenty of mud clearance. Bigger tires can increase contact area and thus ride comfort, control and grip.
LOW STANDOVER
More comfortable for male and female riders.
SURFACE CHAIN GUIDE
Included on all 1x drivetrains. Improves chain stability, helps to prevent chain drop.
