Alloy frame, V-Brakes and a suspension fork

Adapted Pop geometry
Position of Power -Geometry designed to engage bigger muscle groups in pedalling, producing more power output for the same amount of input. Longer frame places the rider forward, in a more balanced position, improving grip on the rear wheel on climbs and on the front wheel on descents. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle means more control at speed. Stride's Pop geometry is adapted to suit the nature of the platform.

Hydro formed alloy Frame
Hydro-formed 6061 Alloy frame
The Stride SE features a class leading frame. Trickle-down technology means that the new frame benefits from our leading platforms. The frame tubes are hydro-formed into complex shapes to increase strength and stiffness, minimizing weight and excess material use. The SE is external cable routed and has a tapered headtube.

WHY IT’S BEST.
- Trickle down adapted POP geometry means that the Stride SE places the rider in a more balanced position. This engages bigger muscle groups when climbing and provides more balance, more traction, grip and control.
- The hydro formed frame is lightweight and features a tapered headtube, full length external routing and eye catching, durable paint and decals.
- Stride SE is fitted with a 100mm VAXA HL 565, suspension fork, great for smoothing out bumpy roads.
- Stride SE features alloy V-brakes. V brakes offer decent power and modulation and is easy to set up and maintain.
- The Stride SE also makes a great touring or commuting bike, even for winter riding, featuring rack and fender mounts as well as an integrated kickstand mount.
- Tapered headtube means that the SE is fork upgrade compatible.
ENGINEERING NOTES.

SUSPENSION FORK
Stride SE is fitted with a purpose chosen 100mm VAXA HL 565 suspension fork. A suspension fork improves comfort and traction on a hardtail mountain bike.

ALLOY CONTROL PARTS
All Stride bicycles are fitted with quality alloy control parts. This means less weight, and more durability - for many happy trails. Similarly brand name components are chosen for durability and function, meaning that your Stride offers worry free ownership.

FULL LENGTH EXTERNAL CABLE HOUSINGS
Stride SE features full length externally routed cable housings. These are easier to maintain than internal cables. Also, since the housing is full length, cables are less prone to dirt ingress in the system, meaning less maintenance and smoother gears and better functioning brakes for longer periods.

DOUBLE WALL ALLOY WHEELS
Surface Wheels on the Stride SE are constructed from double wall alloy extrusion. This makes for a durable, lightweight wheel with a good braking surface.

ALLOY V-BRAKES
Stride SE comes with alloy V - rim brakes. V-brakes are easy to set up, easy to maintain and offer decent power and modulation.

ACCESSORY COMPATIBILITY
Stride frames are rack and fender compatible. Easily set it up for what you need!

COMFORT SADDLE
The Surface saddle that is used on the SE, is comfort focused for longer rides.

RESPONSIVE SHORT CHAINSTAYS
Short chainstays coupled with Pop geometry means that the Stride is more nimble through corners, yet retains overall stability.

FAQ.
-
I am keen to start MTB XC riding. Is the Stride SE a good place to start looking?
The Stride SE fits more into the light sport category, so more pathways and dirt roads than hardcore MTB trails.
-
Can I fit a 140mm Pike to my Stride?
No you can not. You can however fit up to a 120mm fork on your Stride. 140mm would put too much stress on the headtube. This could lead to frame failure, and voids your warranty.
-
Is the Stride a good dirt jump bike?
The Stride is designed as an enthusiast sport MTB platform. Not designed for dirt jumping.
-
Can I fit disc brakes on the Stride SE?
The fork and frame are disc brake ready - you would have to get wheels that are disc brake compatible, as the wheels that comes with the SE are for rim brakes only.
-
Can I fit a 2.5" rear tyre on my bike?
The maximum tyre size on the Stride range is 2.35" on the rear tyre.
