Spectra Sport - welcome to MTB!

Getting serious about mountain biking? The Spectra Sport is a quality hardtail mountain bike perfect for you if you are starting to take your riding a bit more seriously. The mechanically formed lightweight aluminium frame is equipped with alloy Sector control parts making the Spectra Sport both light and durable. Equipped with large 29" wheels, this bike will give you the confidence to ride over obstacles while the 100mm Suntour XCR Air-Lo-R fork will absorb the larger bumps the trail has to offer. The Spectra Sport comes with tubeless ready Sunringle Hexlix TR25 rims and Maxxis Crossmark tyres, so converting to tubeless can be done easily.

Alloy frame

Trickle down geometry means that the Spectra Sport frame has features and quirks normally only found on more expensive models. The hydro formed 6061 alloy frame started on the same table as the Sola, but features QR dropouts rather than Sola's T/A dropouts. Semi smooth welding makes for a remarkable finish on the Spectra.

Suspension fork

Part of how a hardtail handles on trails, is credited to the fork choice. The Spectra Sport is fitted with an SR Suntour XCR Air, a 100mm air suspension fork. This fork is easy to set up, smooth, and has both rebound adjust and hydraulic lockout.

  1. Sector alloy control parts are not only reliable but cuts down unnecessary weight.
  2. The Shimano drivetrain shifts quick and easy, whist transferring power to the pedals efficiently.
  3. The SR SUNTOUR air fork features externally adjustable rebound, and hydraulic lockout that can be used on the fly.
  4. The Spectra Sport is a combination of durable components and a lightweight quality frame to give the rider a value for money mountain bike that will last.
  5. This frame is covered by our limited lifetime warranty.
  6. Fitted with a tubeless ready wheelset, the Spectra Sport can easily be converted to a tubeless set up.

Race ready geometry

Spectra Sport geometry is closely copied from the Sola platform - Silverback's classic alloy racebike.

135mm QR dropouts

Spectra Sport, similar to the rest of the range has 135mm, 9mm QR dropouts - so quick and easy to take out wheels, or to do trailside fixes.

Smooth welds

Spectra Sport frame is finished with smoothed welds. This creates a look similar to a carbon frame, on an alloy frame - and normally you don't see these on frames in this price bracket.

Tubeless ready 29" wheels

Sector (SUNRingle Helix) tubeless ready 29" wheels have fantastic rollover on the trail, and a tubeless setup means you can run lower pressure, meaning more grip and less punctures. Spectra Sport is also fitted with Crossmark II 2.25" folable tubeless ready tyres.

Internal routing

Spectra frames have internally routed cables. This makes for a cleaner, neater layout - and also protects the cables.

Drivetrain choice

Spectra Sport is fitted with a quality Shimano Acera rear derailleur and Altus 9 speed shifter. This is a solid choice for those new to MTB racing. Great reliability, class leading shifting and super durability makes this an amateur favourite.
