Hardtail mountain bike for the value-focused, performance seeking cross-country rider
Lightweight Hydro formed Frame
The Sola 2 alloy frame is manufactured from hydro formed, butted 6061 tubing resulting in a very strong frame. For an XC hardtail, a lightweight yet strong aluminium frame is a viable cost effective option. Hydro forming is the process to shape alloy tubing from the inside with pressurized water and/or oil, into a negative mold cavity, resulting in stronger, thin wall tubing frame, as well as complex shapes.
Sola 2 is fitted with a 1x11 speed wide range groupset. An XT M8000 rear derailleur is mated to an SLX M7000 Shifter and runs on an E-Thirteen TRS 11 Speed 9-46t, 509% Ultra-wide Range cassette. This ratio gives you great bottom- and top end gears.
WHY IT’S BEST.
- A fun hardtail mountain bike that can be used for racing cross country or having a good time on the trails.
- Wide range 1X11 speed cassette saves weight and simplifies shifting
- Sleek internal cable routing, helps prolong the life of your cables and looks great at the same time
- High quality Rockshock fork that can be adjusted and fine tuned to the riders weight.
- This bike frame is covered by our limited lifetime warranty, should you brake your frame
Sola frames across the range are designed with race orientated geometry. This means that the Sola will handle well, be power transfer efficient, well balanced, as well as comfortable for multiple days in the saddle.
The tapered headtube improves frame stiffness, steering precision, as well as making for a stronger frame. It also means that the Sola is compatible with all modern tapered forks.
The Sola frame uses our SBC dropout system with replaceable derailleur hanger and 12mm thru axle. This system creates for a very stiff and secure rear end on the bike.
Internal routing keeps cables out of harm's way, the cockpit neat and uncluttered and makes for less maintenance, due to full length internal cables being less prone to dirt ingression.
Silverback frames are ISO tested and both meets and exceeds the demands of this type of bike.
Lateral stiff seat stays
Laterall stiff seatstays means efficient power delivery to the pedals, yet gives some flex and a degree of comfort to the rider when riding over bumps seated.
